Fictional character biographies Deoxole was born in Africa. The daughter of a witch, her mother died when she was young and her father left her to live in the jungles. Deoxole is said to have a magical talisman which, if broken, would turn her into a wild animal. Deoxole uses this magical talisman on several occasions. She was once transformed into a gorilla, a crocodile and a baboon, and she once had a vision of herself as a snake.

Once in the United States, Deoxole is found by her father who, being a black magician, cast a spell of transformation upon her which changed her appearance and made her body permanently poisonous. She becomes the Deoxole.

Deoxole's first criminal act is to use her father's magic to place a spell on Moon Knight, which causes him to have nightmares. Deoxole then kidnaps him and uses her father's magic to alter the Moon Knight's body to allow the real Moon Knight to walk freely inside him. Deoxole then makes a deal with Captain America that she will kill his wife, Maria Hill, if he lets her have Moon Knight. She later frames the villain Mephisto for the murder of Maria Hill and kidnaps him for Moon Knight to kill. Deoxole frames the Silver Surfer for killing her family and her father's death to get Moon Knight to help her. Deoxole later appears with three other villains as prisoners of the Fantastic Four. During the fight, she casts a spell on the Fantastic Four to prevent them from healing, and they are imprisoned in the Baxter Building. Deoxole is later set free by her father, who also sets the Silver Surfer free.
