About this mod
You've saved before. You've loaded before. But have you saved... in DELUXE?
A complete replacement for OMORI's save/load screen. Same cozy menu, way more Deluxe.
THE MENU
-
Resizable save grid - set your own columns and rows, auto-fit so no save ever falls off the list, or just hold the dash button and shove the grid around with the movement inputs until it looks right. Your layout is remembered.
-
RENAME, MOVE, SWAP, COPY and DELETE for your saves. Name your file "BEFORE MUTANTHEART" like a civilized person.
-
Save cards show a captured snapshot of the exact map tile you saved on, a full-map background, your party's faces, and a PARTY page with all the details.
-
Hold-to-Save and Hold-to-Delete if you're the kind of person who has ever overwritten 40 hours by breathing on the wrong key.
-
Widescreen friendly - cards grow with the screen under resolution mods, and a stock 640×480 screen stays pixel-identical to vanilla. There's an escape hatch to pin the vanilla card size if another mod wants things old-school.
-
Mouse controls: wheel, drag the scrollbar, flick to scroll. The future is now.
PONG
Oh, and there's an entire arcade game in the save menu. HYPERBALL DELUXE - a cabinet with a boot reel, attract mode, 35 challengers (each with their own palette, mouth, and opinions about you), a Fallout-style trait and perk draft between matches, jackpot rallies, a practice table, and enough composite-video nostalgia settings to make your eyes water. BACK pulls the plug on the whole game. You wanted out of the arcade, you get out of the arcade.
THE COMPANIONS (bundled, optional, OFF by default)
This download includes two companion plugins, but nothing changes until you ask it to.
-
Custom BGM — music in the save menu, a NOW PLAYING card, custom loop points. Off until you flip it on. Comes tuned to Sugar Star Planetarium; point it at any track in an
audio/bgmfolder and it plays yours instead. -
Cloud Save — free Puter account, background sync after every save, a Documents mirror, local backups before every write, conflict prompts if two machines disagree. Strictly manual by default. Nothing is sent anywhere until you sign in, and it asks before even opening the browser.
Don't want them? Delete the plugin files. The core mod doesn't care. Everything keeps working - you just lose the optional bits.
THE SETTINGS
Everything configurable lives in one SAVE & LOAD DELUXE block in Mod Configs REDUX, sorted into five sections so you can actually find things: SAVE MENU (grid, safety, cards & portraits), CLOUD, CUSTOM BGM, PONG, and MISC. The companion plugins slot their settings into the same block automatically - one place to look, fold away what you don't care about.
FOR MOD DEVELOPERS
The save screen is a platform now, and there's a full implementation guide: put your own rows and pages on the save cards, pin badges to slots, listen for (or veto) saves and loads, swap backgrounds and portraits, claim your maps, or wire up your own cloud backend. Every code sample in it runs against the real plugin.
Save & Load Deluxe — Implementation Guide
REQUIREMENTS
-
Any modern version of OneLoader. Probably.
-
Mod Configs REDUX - recommended. All the settings live there. The mod works without it (you get the defaults), but why would you do that to yourself.
-
Uniform Input Icons - recommended.
COMPATIBILITY
-
Detects other save/load mods and tells you (once, on the console) if something's about to get weird.
-
Vanilla save files in, vanilla save files out. Your saves stay your saves.
If something explodes, let me know on one of the modding Discord servers. I believe in you.
Developed as part of the Lost & Found project, a collection of mods that (will hopefully) add and restore content to OMORI, whilst not messing with the final design.
