About this mod
What does this mod do?
- Makes the vanilla restore global.rpgsave compatible with Improved Save & Load Menu
- Adds an OMORI Debug Console command to refresh global save data
- Plays a ta-da sound effect when global save data is done refreshing
What is global.rpgsave?
global.rpgsave holds all the data shown on the save load menu. It's used to allow access to save file information without having to load save files.
Why do I need to refresh it?
Anytime you manually modify your save folder, you desync the global.rpgsave with the contents inside the save folder. This can sometimes have the consequence of making it so that you can't load specific save files!
How do I use this mod?
After installing this mod and OMORI Debug Console, you can type /refreshGlobalSaveData on the title screen to refresh the global save data. This only works on the title screen because the game is loading all of your save files, and if you had a save file open it would overwrite that save. With Improved Save & Load Menu this mod will only refresh files up to what is visible on the save menu.
If you don't have OMORI Debug Console, you can open the options menu, go to system → restore default settings, and that will give you the option to recover global.rpgsave. This will overwrite all your settings though.
Once the mod is done refreshing the global save data it will play a "ta-da" sound effect.
